Persephone's Equilibrium Bottle was born on 27th May 2021 at 8.00 am BST. In Greek mythology, Persephone, also called Kore or Kora, meaning?'the maiden,' is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter. She became the queen of the underworld after her abduction by Hades (Pluto in the Roman Pantheon), the god of the underworld, with the approval of her father, Zeus. The myth of her abduction and return to the surface represents her functions towards the creation of the cycle of the natural seasons - spring was coming when Demeter was happy to see her daughter back, while winter was symbolic of the sadness of the goddess for the return of Persephone to the Underworld. According to Rudolf Steiner, "Demeter represents the immortal soul of the Earth, while Persephone represents the immortal soul of humans. Persephone got abducted by Pluto from the immortal World's down to the Earth and by that she/we lost our natural clairvoyance which led to our increasing 'I' development." It is beautiful to see how this Equlibrium Bottle has a Clear/Orange colour combination, while in B119 Ceres Orange is in the upper Fraction and in the lower fraction we have the complementary colour to Clear, the Deep Magenta, highlighting the concept of the Light/Spring and Darkness/Winter relationship existing in the mythologycal story of these two goddesses. The Clear in the upper fraction introduces light into the Orange, putting the attention on the possibility of an transition that may bring relief in relation to our immortal soul, assiting us in gaining freedom from the patterns of the past, and shining light on the possibility of incarnating our life soul's purpose into being.
