Chang Tsu was an ancient sage who lived around the 4th century BC. One of his major works, known by his name, the Zhuangzi, is one of the fundamental texts of Taoism, along with the Tao Te Ching. This book contains stories, anecdotes, allegories, parables and fables, which promote the attitude of becoming one with "the Way", or Tao, by following nature. The most famous of his stories is the "Dreams of Being a Butterfly", at the end of the second chapter "On the Equality of Things". In that story Chang Tsu didn't know whether he was a man dreaming of being a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming of being a man. Chang Tsu referred to this as the Transformation of Things. This Equilibrium Bottle is reminding us of disidentifying ourselves from our suffering (Clear) coming from the conditioned patterns. As we center ourselves by connecting to the True Aura or Incarnational Star (Gold), we may be able to discriminate, assimilate and integrate our life experiences through our deeper spiritual identity. Our life purpose may become illuminated.
