In sacred traditions, fragrance has always held a very profound value, because it acts on a dimension of the human being that precedes rational thought and directly reaches memory, breath, inner sensitivity and the state of consciousness. An aroma can call forth a memory, encourage recollection, open a more subtle perception of oneself and support a process of centring, purification and inner listening.

In the biblical and Kabbalistic tradition, sacred fragrance assumes a precise spiritual function. The sacred incense of the Temple and the sacred anointing oil show how aromatic substances were considered part of a ritual language capable of connecting body, soul, prayer and inner transformation. Fragrance is understood as a subtle form of presence, a quality that passes through the human being and accompanies the movement from dispersion to inner recomposition, from heaviness to purification, from simple sensory perception to a deeper awareness of one’s inner world.

The Tree of Life offers a particularly meaningful map for understanding this process, because the Sephiroth, the Spheres or Emanations, describe different qualities of human consciousness and of the expression of the personality in the world: grounding, stability, strength, openness, harmony, clarity, sensitivity, imagination, maturity and spiritual connection. Within this context, essential oils acquire the value of olfactory and meditative supports that can accompany personal work on the inner qualities represented by each Sephirah.

This course was created to explore the relationship between Kabbalah, Sacred Fragrances and Essential Oils, offering a key to understanding the spiritual value of the sense of smell and the way in which fragrance can support meditation, centring, self-listening and inner work. The focus will be on the relationship between smell, memory, breath, the Tree of Life and Sephirotic qualities, in order to encourage a more conscious use of essential oils as a support for personal well-being and individual practice.

During the course, participants will learn how to create the Personal Olfactory Map of the Soul within the Tree of Life, a working sheet through which the inner state, the reference Sephirah, the most suitable aromatic family and the use of selected essential oils can be connected as a support for meditative practice and the process of personal transformation.

First Meeting – Sacred Fragrance in the Kabbalistic Tradition

Fragrance in Sacred Traditions as a Subtle Language of Consciousness.
Smell, Memory, Breath and Inner State.
The Spiritual Value of Aroma in the Biblical and Kabbalistic Tradition.
The Sacred Incense of the Temple as an Image of Purification, Elevation and Connection.
The Sacred Anointing Oil as a Symbol of Consecration, Spiritual Direction and the Function of the Soul.
Fragrance as a Support for Centring, Inner Listening and Inner Recomposition.

Second Meeting – Essential Oils, Sephiroth and the Personal Olfactory Map

The Tree of Life as a Map of Consciousness;
The Sephiroth as Inner Qualities to Recognise, Harmonise and Develop;
Aromatic Families and Sephirotic Qualities: Resins, Woods, Flowers, Citrus Fruits, Spices, Balsams and Roots.
Olfactory and Meditative Use of Essential Oils for Centring and Self-Listening.
Criteria for Choosing an Essential Oil in Relation to the Inner State and the Reference Sephirah.
Creation of the Personal Olfactory Map of the Soul within the Tree of Life.
Integration of Olfactory Practice into Daily Life and the Path of Personal Growth.

WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR:

This course is intended for those who wish to explore the relationship between Kabbalah, the Tree of Life, Sacred Fragrances and Essential Oils, developing a clearer understanding of fragrance as a support for meditation, centring and inner transformation. It is suitable for spiritual seekers, students of esoteric disciplines, holistic practitioners, counsellors, coaches, helping professionals and for those who already use essential oils or wish to approach their personal use through a symbolic, meditative and Kabbalistic perspective. The course is also suitable for those who feel the need to build a more conscious practice with fragrance, learning to recognise which inner qualities can be supported through olfactory listening, the choice of an essential oil and the connection with the Sephiroth of the Tree of Life.

WHAT YOU CAN GAIN:

Through this course, it is possible to acquire a deeper understanding of the spiritual value of the sense of smell and of the role of fragrance in the biblical and Kabbalistic tradition, recognising the sacred incense of the Temple and the sacred anointing oil as images of purification, consecration and inner transformation. The work allows participants to approach the Tree of Life through an olfactory and experiential key, understanding how the Sephiroth can be read as qualities of consciousness and how essential oils can support a personal practice of meditation, listening and centring. The creation of the Personal Olfactory Map of the Soul within the Tree of Life offers a first concrete framework for connecting inner state, Sephirotic qualities, aromatic families and the conscious use of essential oils, encouraging a deeper relationship between fragrance, presence and the growth of consciousness.

Dott.ssa Cristiana Caria – Consultant for the Development of Consciousness through Integrated Disciplines. Professional according to Law 4/2013. Registered with the Professional Association A.I.P.O. No. 1197. A.I.P.O. is on the list the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.

Born in Italy, Cristiana graduated with full marks and honor from the University of Bologna, Faculty of Humanity and Arts. At the age of 14, she underwent a near-death experience (NDE) as a consequnce of a serious accident. A teacher, scholar of the ancient wisdom teachings, and writer, she founded the International Initiation School in 2017, an Advanced Professional and Personal Training School.
