Care & Share Italia
is an NGO that has been working for over 25 years in India to support vulnerable and marginalised children. They work to ensure a world where all children see their right to education guaranteed and they do this because they believe that education is the most powerful tool that can break the cycle of poverty and make a person free.
They ensure access to quality education and the possibility to continue the studies up to university to over 1.500 vulnerable children. They do this through their sponsorship programme and the implementation of international development projects. They believe that it is only by investing in education that children can develop their potential, realize their aspirations, enter the job market and bring a pro-active contribution to their communities.
Since 1991, thanks to the support received by thousands of “sponsor parents”, they supported over 20.000 Indian children who were living in difficult socio-economic contexts. They supported them in their education and guided them in a personal development path that led them to become independent and autonomous people. Many of these boys and girls, thanks to the School4Future
programme, had also the opportunity to access university and graduate, meeting their professional goals and making their dreams come true.
Their international development projects are strongly linked to the sponsorship programme. In fact, they work in the city suburbs and tribal-rural areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telengana, where the children that they support live. Their projects aim to support the most disadvantaged families and communities focusing on education. They build and restructure nurseries, schools and anganwadis (maternal and child care centres), train teachers and social workers, provide the necessary school materials and raise awareness with the local community on the importance of education.
