The 7 Rays of Light and the Initiation

The concept of the seven rays appeared in several religions and esoteric teachings since the 6th century BC in both Western culture and India. They were considered energies, radiating or emanating forth – like the seven beams or rays - from the Absolute, the Central Spiritual/Universal Sun at the origin of existence.

According to the esoteric teachings they are existence itself and they hold the unfoldment of the Divine Plan. These seven lives whose nature is consciousness produce cyclically the manifested world as we know it and they work harmonically together under the guidance of the Higher Mind. These rays or the seven types of divine energies express themselves through numbers and their vibration or field of consciousness influence everything within us, in our life and environment. Each number is the expression of the vibration of one of the rays. All planets of our solar system vehicle the energy of the 7 rays. We are constantly in their field of consciousness and they govern our life.
